SWN Career Coaches will help Cecil and Harford County
Public Schools students engage in activities to explore their strengths, skills, and interests related to potential careers. Coaches will guide students to explore careers related to
- self-awareness activities. Students will learn about career pathways, job functions, industries, and roles to help clarify
- their professional interests, goals, and aspirations.
Career Coaches will work with students to build upon awareness gained through career exploration activities to identify career fields of interest and create step-by-step career plans. Career Plans will include pre- and post-graduation experiences and educational activitiesdesigned to help students better understand their career goals and the steps to reach them.
Career Coaches will help students develop employability skills, leading to the behaviors employers across all industries seek in new employees. Coaches will assist students with developing resumes and preparing for job interviews.
SWN Career Coaches will work with Cecil and Harford County Public School staff and Cecil College and Harford Community College staff to provide students with information and experiences to help them understand and explore career opportunities in the region.
