Identifying our priority action steps<\/strong> for FY2019 was the main topic at the Susquehanna Workforce Innovation Partnership (SWIP) Quarterly Meeting held\u00a0August 14, 2018 \u2022 2 p.m. \u2013 4 p.m. at\u00a0Cecil College at Elkton Station<\/p>\n

Among the barriers identified the following were identified by the group as both actionable and a priority:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Data Sharing<\/li>\n
  2. Partner Tunnel Vision<\/li>\n
  3. Partner Lateral Communication\/Situational Awareness<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    SWIP reviewed and revised the draft Action Plan for FY2019. The Action plan was organized in alignment with the Maryland State Benchmarks, which has five strategic goals. SWIP chose three Action Steps to focus on during the first half of FY2019. These are:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Create training opportunities to fill identified gaps and explore opportunities for integrated training<\/li>\n
    2. Define a common referral process for all SWIP organizations to implement<\/li>\n
    3. Develop methods for lateral communication and situational awareness about other agencies, such as cross-training, organizational profiles, web site.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Next Meeting<\/strong><\/p>\n

      The next SWIP meeting will be held on November 13, 2-4 p.m., at Harford Community College. The Room number will be sent out closer to the event. Watch this space: https:\/\/wioapartners-dev.solmapp.net\/event\/swip-quarterly-meeting-2\/<\/a><\/p>\n
