Pharmacy techs will generally work behind the pharmacy counter taking prescriptions from customers and via telephone from health professionals. Pharmacy techs will help customers, mix medicines, count pills, measure medication, label medications, give instructions for medications, set up consultations with the pharmacist, and help take payments. A pharmacy technician is the friendly face of the pharmacy, acting as a liaison between the public and the pharmacist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What do I need to get <\/strong>a pharmacy technician<strong> job?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This program combines classroom instruction and a 160-hour pharmacy externship.
