Connect to your next job or future at the Susquehanna Workforce Centers
The Susquehanna Workforce Network and the Division of Workforce Development operate the region's three workforce centers, in cooperation with partner organizations and agencies. We provide employment planning and career assessment services, and job search assistance according to local occupations in demand.
Individuals can use computers to look for jobs and prepare resumes; participate in educational sessions covering resumes, interviewing and employability; research local businesses and labor market conditions; and talk with employment specialists about job goals and career plans.
The workforce centers also provide specialized programs and services designed for veterans, displaced homemakers, senior workers, migrant farm workers and people with disabilities. Training assistance may also be available to specific populations such as dislocated workers.

- Explore information about training and educational opportunities
- Workshops on job searching, interviewing, creating and editing resumes, finding a federal government job, basic computer training and workplace readiness curriculum

SPECIALIZED PROGRAMS
Services for Professional, Managerial and Technical Job Seekers
- The Professional Outplacement Assistance Center (POAC) assists unemployed professional job seekers with their work search through the Jump Start Orientation, which includes:
- Communication workshops
- Resume and cover letter seminars
- Interviewing strategies
- Computer lab - book, audio & video library
Veteran Services
If you have served in the United States military, you may qualify for special assistance. While all staff will ensure services for veterans in referral to jobs and training skills assessment, assigned staff are available to serve veterans and link them with a full range of job seeking and support services.
Migrant & Seasonal Farmworkers' Services
Targeted employment services exist for individuals who earn most of their income through agriculture.
Services for People with Disabilities
People with disabilities are offered a full range of employment services: job search assistance and referrals, interpreter service for individuals who are deaf or require the use of hearing aids and referral to agencies that can assist with their employability needs.
Dislocated Worker Services
- Skills Enhancement Training exist for qualifying individuals, including those who:
- Exhausted unemployment insurance benefits and are unlikely to return to the former occupation
- Suffered a lay off due to permanent plant closure or substantial layoff at your company
- Lost a business as self-employed
- Provided unpaid services to family members as a "displaced homemaker"
