Building Capacity in STEM
The NMTC connects the most successful Technology Companies in the world, hundreds of energetic Growing Enterprises, Government and Academic leaders into a collective force to accelerate economic growth and expand the STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) Educated Workforce in Maryland. NMTC is Maryland's fast growing technology council with over 180 members and advocates providing access to technology, industry, academic and government leaders in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Northeastern Maryland, the Greater Baltimore area and beyond.
Created in 1990 and organized in 1991, the NMTC connects member companies, organizations and individuals to their peers and influential decision makers through power networking, informative workshops, monthly Expert Speaker Series and other collaborative initiatives. We are focused to accomplish the following:
- Connect Decision Makers to their peers and leaders in other organizations
- Champion Stem Education in grades K-12
- Contribute to Economic Growth in the Susquehanna region of MD, PA and DE
- Coordinate Information Resources for member's benefit
Linkages between SWN and NMTC have a historic perspective from School-to Career Grant Awards in the 1990's to the present day Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) initiatives.
